A Makeover with Gretta
January 29, 2017
She’s a powerhouse Fire Fighter of a woman and as tall as can be. She had me mesmerized with those beautiful eyes. I was so excited to get started working with those beauties. She's a woman who’s got to get up and go. Literally. No time to fuss with lots of makeup and steps. But this girl has got to have some mascara and eyeliner. And good skin care is on her mind and finding a foundation that isn't heavy and looks natural. I was able to give her tips to do quick makeup looks and how to glam it up a bit when she had more time. And show her a skin care routine to keep her skin healthy, clear, and young looking.
A treat for the skin. We started off with a facial from our Royalty Skin Care line treating for combination skin: Pore Purifying Cleanser, Detoxifying Mask, Rose Water Toning Spritz, Instant Lifting Serum, and Hydrating Day Cream with SPF. We finished up with our Touch Glorious Face Primer to prep the skin for makeup application—sealing in all the moisture while keeping her makeup last all day and more brilliant.
A foundation just for her and a fresh face. We tried out a few of our foundations and found that our Touch Mineral Cream Foundation in color Chiffon was her choice for her skin type and color. (Note: The Liquid Foundation was applied to the right side of her face. The left side used Cream Foundation, then Pressed Powder to finish. Both had great results and would work great with her skin type. She preferred the feel and finish of the Cream Foundation.) She learned the best ways to apply the foundation and used our Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer to highlight, cover blemishes and dark spots, and brighten her skin under her eyes to make them pop and look more fresh and awake. Next she learned how to contour to add more depth to her facial features with our Touch Mineral Powder Foundation in color Charmeuse and Beachfront Bronzer in color Malibu. We then created a healthy glow with our Moodstruck Minerals Pressed Blusher in color Stunning on her cheeks. Just above the cheek bone, we added a little highlight shimmer using Addiction Eye Shadow Palette 4 in color Tender (Pearl Nude).
A smokey eye look. Gretta has gorgeous multi-colored eyes with greens, blues, and flecks of gold and light and dark tones. When she saw Addiction Eye Shadow Palette 4 she was in love and it looked amazing on her. She loves a smokey eye and was excited to learn how to use Palette 4 to smoke it up. We used Tender (Pearl Nude) all over the lid, on the inner lower lash line and in the inner corner. Then we used Cheerful (Matte Deep Royal Blue) on the outer corner and into the crease and blended to create soft edges. We made it extra smokey by using Triumphant (Matte Navy Blue) on the outer corner and lower outer lash line. We used Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eyeliner in color Perfect (Black) on the upper water line to make her lashes look fuller. Then we used Eyeliner in color Polished (Silvery Ice Blue) on her lower water line to make her eyes look bigger and add sparkle. And to finish off her eye look, yes our amazing Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ Mascara. On her brows, we used our Moodstruck Precision Brow Liner in Dark to define their shape and our Brow Gel to make them more full and stay in place. Wow those eyes look amazing.
A natural pink lip. We went for a light pink lip to finish off this look with our Lip Bonbons Tinted Lip Balm in color Red Velvet Cake (Berry). They are smooth, moisturizing and low maintenance. Just swipe and go with a beautiful glow. So soft and pretty.
What do you think of this look? Doesn’t she look gorgeous?
